Where do you start! When we first walked through this home we went back in time to the mid-1970’s. With a single owner and original interior, we had carpet colors of a pinkish-orange, yellow, blue and green. We had original window treatments, pink toilet and tub, salmon trim and teal trim and so much more. Wow! But we saw right past all of that and saw the potential the home had for its size and location. It was just going to need a lot of work.
We did a lot of research and thinking about what we wanted to do with the home, adding a pool and pool house, maybe a 5th bedroom, etc.
We hired an architect to help us realize our vision and he did a great job taking our requirements and finding creative ways to amend them to make a better home.
We have completed 3 of the up to 7 phases so far.
Phase 1: Update the 3 bedrooms and baths by removing popcorn ceiling, installing new carpet, painting throughout and painting the vanities. ~COMPLETE
Phase 2: Add a pool, fence and landscaping in the rear of the property which also included bringing in 15+ loads of dirt and rock to build up the pool deck level and add a landscape berm to help shield from the bike path. ~COMPLETE
Phase 3: Completely gut the kitchen, living room, 1/2 bath and master bedroom and bath over the garage. This included everything from the studs in and from the studs out. New windows, spray foam insulation, elevating the ceiling, removing walls, new siding, new tabby stucco on the foundation, new electrical and plumbing and so much more. ~COMPLETE
Phase 4: Update the ‘north’ end of the home interior with hardwoods, new trim, new doors, new bathroom tile and vanities in the two smaller baths and completely new master bathroom and closet to fix the oddest layout we’ve ever seen. ~COMPLETE
Phase 5: Update the ‘north’ end of the home exterior with new windows, new siding, tabby stucco on foundation, move the HVAC to the north end and place in service yard, new brick front entry, raise roof line to fix issues with roof at front and back door, and create an entry from the home directly into the garage. ~SPRING 2018
Phase 6: Add a pool porch off of the main living room to include dining and sitting area along with a fireplace and TV. ~SPRING 2018
Phase 7: This is a ‘maybe’ with a potential to reconfigure the master bedroom on the north end to expand onto where the deck is now and add a 5th bedroom and bath off of the north end to serve as a bunkroom. ~TBD
